How to Get Involved: Volunteer Opportunities

OSID is a member-driven organization that thrives on the talent of our community. Joining an active committee is an exceptional way to build professional networks, give back to the region, and earn up to 12 CEU credits per cycle depending on involvement.

Volunteer Opportunities Purpose & Focus Core Initiatives
Events & Initiatives Planning and executing OSID’s regional gathering spaces, industry showcases, and seasonal networking functions. Organizing the annual Okanagan Design Expo (ODEX), summer networking mixers, and fall/winter industry panels.
Program Development Developing structural support systems and educational funding pathways to advance the professional capabilities of our members. Managing and reviewing the OSID Members Training Grant Program, which provides financial assistance for training outside the region.
Communications & Media Managing OSID’s public footprint, digital presence, and member outreach channels to advocate for the industry. Curating the regional events calendar, managing social media portfolios, website content development, and member e-blasts.
Student Liaison & Emerging Professionals Mentoring the next generation of interior design talent and guiding them toward professional accreditation pathways. Overseeing the OSID Student Bursary Awards and organizing the annual Student Design Charrette Competition.
